SWIFT Women's Film Project
In 2018, Rebecca spearheaded SWIFT (Spokane Women in Film & TV) and Thundering Kitten Productions to create the community film project Where I Stand. With two incredible producing partners, Jennifer Gatts and Alixandra Saucier, this film was made entirely by women as an educational film project. We had 30 professional crew members and 20 amateurs shadowing them, and 70+ women in the cast and background actors. The fictional film, written by Mary Jane Honegger, is about 3 generations of women protesting for their rights and culminates at the 2017 Women's March. Here are the three videos we made about the project, including the Kickstarter campaign, the film itself, and the documentary about the entire process. It is a project Rebecca is extremely proud and may be the best thing she's done in her career.
